Analysis of the development factors of the passenger air transport market in the tourism sector

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of factors determining the development of the passenger air transport market. The analysis of the dynamics of international tourist arrivals in the regions of the world during 2019-2023 was carried out and the busiest routes in the world in 2023 were indicated. The actual and forecast level of global traffic losses and the pace of its recovery were analyzed. It was determined that the impact of global and local events had a negative impact on both the tourism sphere and the aviation industry. A surge in demand for airline services in Europe in 2023 has caused flight delays of 400% during peak periods. The dynamics of the number of passengers who used the services of domestic airlines in Ukraine during 2011-2022 were analyzed. The most significant factors affecting the volume of passenger transportation were outlined, based on the actual state of the industry and current trends. It is determined that the use of digital technologies will have advantages both for tourists and airlines.
