Короткий огляд (реферат): A mathematical model has been developed for determining the height parameters of surface roughness , and the ratio during abrasive processing. Calculations have established that with an increase in the number of abrasive grains involved in the formation of the roughness of the treated surface, the parameters and decrease, and the ratio increases. It has been shown that under grinding conditions the ratio takes values within the range of 4 ... 8, and under conditions of processing with free abrasive (abrasive polishing) - more than 30. Based on this, it was concluded that a significant reduction in the height parameters of surface roughness during grinding can be achieved by changing the geometric shape of the cutting part of the grains - by transitioning from a spherical shape to a flat-topped shape (approximately a truncated cone). Experimental studies confirmed the reliability of the obtained theoretical solution.
