Human Capital as a Factor in Ensuring Innovative Development

Abstract

A comparison of static and dynamic theories of economic growth is carried out and the basic provisions of the theory of endogenous growth are highlighted. Particular attention is paid to the role of human capital in ensuring the innovative development of the economy. It is shown that this requires the formation of not only Hard Skills, but also Soft Skills in a person. The effectiveness of the application of the Design Thinking concept in the process of training higher education students in the field of economics and management is demonstrated using the example of mathematical disciplines. All stages of application of this methodology and the tasks that arise at each of these stages are described in detail, as well as the results of assessing its effectiveness are presented.
